Abstract Submission

Oral and poster presentation abstracts are invited using the online abstract submission system. If your abstract is accepted, it will be included in our online abstract link that will be distributed to all conference participants as well as archived for future reference.

We hope that you are interested in taking part in ACA2022 and we welcome you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation.

 

Important Dates & Notifications

Any and all submitted abstracts will be accepted to the ACA2022 program. Session chairs will review and schedule all submitted abstracts. Notification regarding abstract acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the submitting author.

The deadline to submit an abstract for an ORAL presentation is APRIL 15, 2022.

If you want to be considered for the Etter Student Award, submit abstract for talk or poster by April 15, 2022.

The deadline to submit an abstract for a POSTER presentation is MAY 16, 2022.

Once the portal has closed, session chairs will review and select abstracts for their session. While the sessions do invite speakers, 40% percent of scheduled talks will come from contributed abstracts.

On or after May 6, 2022, speakers will be notified if their abstract was selected for an oral presentation. Authors will be notified of this as well as the date and time for their presentation via email.

Presentations may be moved among oral sessions, or to a poster session, at the discretion of the Session Chairs and Meeting Committee.  Every attempt will be made to contact the submitting author if this is necessary.

Any abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be offered a poster presentation. Poster presenters will be notified that their abstract was selected for a poster presentation on or after May 23, 2022 and authors will be notified via email. 

At least one author of each accepted paper should plan to participate in the conference and present the work. We are looking forward to the community meeting in-person but are also also closely observing the global public health situation.  

Please note, if your abstract is accepted for oral presentation, the presenting author will be permitted a maximum of 1 oral presentation in the program.

Fees: There are no submission fees, but the deadline and the submission guidelines will be strictly enforced and you must be registered for the meeting prior to submitting an abstract. Please read the instructions below before beginning your submission.

Who May Submit an Abstract: There is no abstract submission fee however the system does require that you have an ACA login and submit before the deadline. Need to renew your membership? Renew online today.  

There are TWO ways to get a login:

  • You can register for the meeting as a non-member and complete a profile

Authors: The presenting author must be listed first. No one may be first author on more than one abstract unless the session specifically states that this rule does not apply.

Invited Presentations: Abstracts for invited presentations must be submitted in the same manner as those for contributed papers and are subject to the same applicable abstract fees and deadlines.
