Preparation, Submission & Presentation

The American Crystallographic Association has partnered with Genigraphics to provide poster session services for this year’s Annual Meeting.  Not only are we hosting an online gallery so that all of our virtual attendees can view the submissions but we will have printed posters available in the exhibit hall during three in-person poster sessions.

Creating Your Poster

There are many resources to assist with preparing your poster for presentation.  The ACA has specifically created this guide to help authors when creating posters.

• Recommended size is square 40” high x 40” wide (101.6 cm x 101.6 cm)
• Posters should be no larger than 40" high by 45" wide (101.6 cm high x 114.3 cm wide)

Uploading  All posters should be uploaded to the Genigraphics website by Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  There is no charge for submitting your file and the process takes only a few minutes.  To be considered for a prize, the poster needs to have a 3 minute audio file presentation.
Printing

A high-resolution printed poster must be posted in the appropriate space in the exhibit hall.  The costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display will be the responsibility of the authors.

Genigraphics offers the convenience of printing your uploaded ePoster file and having it delivered directly to the conference.  This is an independent service provided by Genigraphics at a special rate.  Check out their website for the information on printing and prices. The ACA assumes no responsibility for the printing/deliver through Genigraphics.

You can also utilize a printer of your choice either near to the conference or print and carry your poster with you while you travel.  Again, the costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display is the responsibility of the authors.

The ACA assumes no responsibility for the printing (through Genigraphics or an independent printer) or storage of your poster and will not save posters left hanging after the end of the session.

Virtual Display

The virtual poster display will be hosted on by the ACA.  You are the copyright holder of the work presented on your poster. You may want to review About The Licenses: Creative Commons licensing, and choose to display this information on your poster.

The ACA considers reuse of poster material (including any form of transmission/upload/or otherwise making available a poster) without the explicit consent of the copyright holder to be unethical, and possibly illegal, but distribution of material may still have implications for intellectual property and publication.
