International Attendees to ACA2022

ACA2022 is excited to welcome back our international attendees and members in Portland, Oregon.  The ACA does not assist in travel planning nor do we provide assistance with individual VISA requirements however we note for our international attendees that advance planning by foreign travelers is critical.

Helpful information regarding traveling to the US can be found:

US Visa's Helpful Tips:

The ACA recommends the following guidelines for obtaining a visa for entry into the United States:

  • Apply early! The visa application process takes a few months to complete.  Collect your entire trip itinerary including documentation regarding travel to any countries other than the United States, at the time of visa application.
  • Provide the letter of invitation. See information on invitation letters below.
  • Once you have completed your registration online, you will be automatically emailed a confirmation email. If you are unable to obtain a visa to attend ACA2022 you may request a full refund of your registration fees. Send requests to us.
  • Provide evidence that you intend to return to your country of residence; applicants should provide proof of “binding,” sufficient, ties to their home country or permanent residence abroad. This may include documentation of: (a) Family ties in home country or country of legal permanent residence; (2) Property ownership, (3) Bank accounts and/or (4) An employment contract or statement from an employer stating that the position continues after the meeting.
