The ACA welcomes this year to the 2023 Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.  To help you prepare, we’ve put together this quick reference guide so you’re ready for a successful event. Here is where you’ll find everything ACA including Events, Education, and so much more!

The ACA respects the privacy of our attendees and does not prepare nor distribute a printed list of contact information.  If you would like to make contact with an attendee we ask that you utilize the Oxford Abstract Site.  There is a link with a list of authors and participants.  All attendees are asked to create a profile in the Oxford Abstract system and those who enter their information can be searched there.

Weather

Historically, July is considered a warm month in Baltimore, Maryland. The average high temperature during this month is around 87°F (31°C), while the average low temperature is around 70°F (21°C). It is typically a humid month with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms. It's advisable to check a reliable weather source or consult a local forecast closer to your desired date for the most accurate and up-to-date weather information.

What to Pack

Attire is business casual for the conference during the day. We do recommend you dress in layers as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary. Some events take place outside in the evening when the weather cools down, so be sure to bring appropriate clothing options such as a shawl or light sweater.

Printed Program/Official App & Schedule

As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, we will not be printing conference guides for ACA2023.  Instead we are utilizing Oxford Abstracts for all meeting information.  An overview of what is on offer on each day of the event can be found on this site, but please use log in to your ACA Oxford Abstracts account to access the full detail of the program, presentation titles and abstracts.  Oxford Abstracts works seamlessly on mobile or tablet devices you can view the schedule, read abstracts, make contact with other attendees and view the poster gallery.

 

Before you attend, we encourage you to determine which sessions are of interest and to add them to your personalized itinerary under the Program tab. Please know in order to build an itinerary you need to be registered and logged into the virtual platform.

 

For your convenience and ease of locating sessions or posters of interest to you, we recommend using the platform search options which will allow you to search session types via multiple filters and then bookmarking your selections.  

 Wi-Fi

The ACA provides "basic" WiFi in the conference area. The High Speed Internet is complimentary for all Marriott Bonvoy Members.

See the ACA2023 program in Oxford abstracts, set up your profile and build your own schedule. Please note, that this tool is meant for planning purposes only. Adding a session to your personal schedule is not a form of registration nor does it guarantee you a seat in a session.

The registration desk is located on fourth floor near the Harborside Foyer.  Please note that there will be no onsite registration at ACA2023.

Badges

Your name badge is required for admission to all events. No exceptions.

Drink Tickets

A full conference registration includes one drink ticket for each evening.  The drink tickets will be located in your badge at pickup.  Please confirm receipt upon badge pick-up.  Uncollected tickets and lost drink tickets will not be replaced.  

Please note that the bars in the event space will be cash bars, and once you have used your drink tickets you may use cash to purchase additional beverages.  Please note that the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront bar only accepts cash (USD).  

Events that Require Registration

Certain events and activities have additional fees, limited seating available or require a ticket for entry. Examples of this include the YSIG mixer and closing banquet. If you did not register for the events when you registered to attend the meeting, please stop by the registration desk and we will assist.  These are events in which space can be limited so it is important to register as soon as possible.
